Rimor series of special motors are linked both to the geometry (with special shafts or non-standard UNEL MEC couplings), to the electrical windings (special voltages for inverter drive), and too prohibitive applications for standard motors (very high temperatures, high humidity, and dustiness in the environment).

Rimor S.r.l. has also developed its technology for engine cooling in high-temperature applications. It builds motors that can work in applications up to 1000 ° C thanks to Rimor S.r.l. technology for air and water cooling and the possibility of guaranteeing necessary gas seals (for example, hydrogen seal).

Rimor S.r.l. it also has a series of inverters with prompt delivery for powers up to 200kW in IP23 and IP54 versions.

Rimor is a Marelli Motors distributor with many years of experience gained from the collaboration with Marelli Motori. It has developed and industrialized numerous special versions of motors for applications in prohibitive environments for standard motors.

Rimor, as a leader in the production of industrial fans for high temperatures, produces electric motors for agitators and fans for ovens. Thanks to engineering and fluid dynamics simulation, Rimor has developed long shaft motors with water cooling that allow installation for applications up to 1,000 ° C.

These motors are made with materials suitable for working temperatures (for example, AISI304, AISI309, AISI310S) and are equipped with a water chamber with continuous recirculation for cooling. Rimor carries out all the studies that define the correct amount of water to be recirculated to ensure proper motor cooling.

Rimor water-cooled motors can also be used in environments where external sealing is required for treatments in an inert atmosphere (for example, hydrogen sealing).

Rimor engineering can ensure the correct power-to-axis height ratio of the motor without incurring oversizing typical; instead of applications with high temperatures; Rimor cooling systems guarantee engines a much higher life than the same products can be found on the market.

The motors with air-cooled shaft are applied to dissipate the heat coming from the environment where the part driven by the motor operates

Rimor has studied and introduced a motor cooling system to the market using a finned dissipator installed on the crankshaft (Rimor blockheat). The heatsink, usually built in aluminum and equipped with a fin that better disperses the heat, dissipates the heat coming from the environment where the applied load (usually an impeller) is inserted, blocking the flow that would otherwise be directed to the motor.

This system can guarantee the operation of directly coupled fans for very high temperatures (up to 750 ° C), where the competition still uses belt transmission today.

Therefore, this solution has considerably reduced the maintenance aspect related to the transmissions and increased the efficiency of the ventilation units.

Rimor Engineering can provide calculations for critical speeds and for the maximum load that the crankshaft can drag.

The inverter is a voltage and frequency converter capable of generating a three-phase system controlled in voltage and frequency to make it possible to change the speed of three-phase asynchronous motors or vector motors.

Rimor offers LV inverters; for single-phase voltage in the power range from 1.5 to 4 kW and three-phase voltages in the power range up to 630 kW.

All the units are equipped with a display for reading and programming, with the possibility of activating a vast number of functions to satisfy any industrial application.

The application of inverters to the various operating machines (pumps, fans, conveyor belts, mills, etc.) allows for real energy savings, as only the actual power required is consumed. Starting via an inverter takes place by absorbing the actual current required, so the high starting currents present in the case of starting with other systems must not be taken into account.

Rimor can supply inverters with IP23 and IP54 protection degrees.

The IP54 unit is equipped with filters for the inlet and outlet of the cooling air. That allows to keep the internal inverter unit particularly clean, limiting the deposit of dirt on the heat sink, the boards, and the internal components.

Therefore, the Rimor IP54 inverter is presented as a simple, robust and reliable device, containing the classic standard Rimor IP23 inverter, which is thus protected and cooled most appropriately. This solution guarantees reduced maintenance, longer life, and greater reliability of the inverter.

Our IP54 inverter units can be supplied with a series of accessories that make them particularly interesting. It is also possible to have two configurations:

  • Slave; with inverter without power commands
  • Independent; with switch on board and therefore the possibility of local on and off.

Furthermore, Rimor Service can help the customer in the application and perform calibration and commissioning, while an equipped internal laboratory allows diagnosis and repairs on site.

Some applications involve the execution of very low voltage auxiliary circuits and some peculiarities such as automation, remote controls or communication protocols, Rimor produces to complete its units, electrical control and control panels with inverters and PLCs of primary brands.

Rimor has a long tradition of building panels and control systems for its machinery and plants with Rina certification for installation on ships.

The electrical panel for the inverter can be equipped with multiple accessories, such as circuits for external controls, remote keyboard kit with emergency button and LED lamp for voltage presence, potentiometer for speed regulation, feedback from encoders, specific communication protocols.

It is possible to have control panels up to 630 KW of power with inverter onboard Rimor brand, an excellent quality product combined with a technical service and repair management. All switchboards usually have an IP54 degree of protection. On request, panels with higher degrees of security can be made.

The range of Rimor electrical panels also include special executions such as:
