Centrifugal Fans

Standard Centrifugal Fans

A centrifugal fan is an operating machine used to carry out a physical process inside it to increase the pressure of the gas that passes through it, particularly the air.

The increase in air pressure causes a positive difference with the outside or, if the supply is close to the environment, a negative difference (depression) in its suction branch. Since two environments at different pressures tend to the state of minimum energy or maximum quiet, this difference causes a flow of air, as occurs in the formation of winds (pressure difference caused by a difference in temperature or humidity between two zones). The centrifugal fan is thus named because, unlike other machines, the airflow direction is centrifugal, from the centre to the outside.

The category of centrifugal fans Rimor S.r.l. is considered a complete and efficient line by the market.

Rimor S.r.l. has a warehouse of centrifugal fans ready for delivery in Italy, in Turin, with shipping throughout Europe and worldwide.

Rimor S.r.l. centrifugal fans are highly efficient, and ERP certified can have ATEX anti-explosion executions and stainless steel fans

Centrifugal fans can be equipped with accessories such as silencers for centrifugal fans, soundproofing cabins for centrifugal fans, regulation valves for centrifugal fans, and heat sinks for high-temperature centrifugal fans.

Rimor S.r.l. also has a technical office suitable for carrying out engineering for any application, both with dynamic fluid calculations and specific simulation studies, thanks to the certified DASSAULT SYSTEMÈS SOLIDWORKS.

Low Pressure Centrifugal Fans

Centrifugal Fans

The industrial fan is called a “low-pressure centrifugal fan” when it can provide low pressures (from 0 to 400 mm H2O) with large air flows (up to 360,000 m³h).

The low-pressure centrifugal fan can be built with a high-performance forward or reverse blade impeller and can be adapted to any application.

The low-pressure centrifugal fan is used to suck in the clean or slightly dusty air.

The main features of low-pressure fans are high efficiency and low noise.

Low pressure industrial fans are used in ventilation systems of mines and tunnels, ventilation of silos and warehouses, suction of stale air, welding fumes, vapors and paints in painting booths, drying, cooling of plastics, glass, fabrics, draft mechanical and elimination of fumes and harmful gases.

Rimor S.r.l. manufactures low-pressure centrifugal fans that work in standard conditions with air drawn in at a temperature below 80°C.

Rimor S.r.l. it also builds low-pressure industrial fans with special constructions to suck air up to 900°C.

The Flow Rimor accessory is available for measuring the flow rate of the fan using the Venturi system.

Medium Pressure Centrifugal Fans

Centrifugal Fans

The industrial fan is called a “medium pressure centrifugal fan” when it can supply medium pressures (from 70 to 900 mm H2O).

The medium pressure centrifugal fan is built with a high-efficiency backward blade impeller with a self-cleaning profile and can be adapted to any application.

The medium pressure centrifugal fan is used to suck in very dusty air or contains suspended granular materials.

The main feature of the medium pressure fan is the very flat power curve to not have an absorption beyond the nominal even with the outlets completely free.

Medium pressure fans are used for the transport of sawdust and wood shavings in carpentries, in mechanical industries for the suction of material following processing, in pneumatic transport in cement factories, ceramics, mills, feed mills, tanneries, foundries, in textile and chemical industries and in general in all those applications where it is necessary to transport harmful air at low and medium pressure.

Particular attention goes to the filamentary material, which requires a purpose-built impeller.

Rimor S.r.l. manufactures medium pressure centrifugal fans that work in standard conditions with air drawn in at a temperature below 80°C.

Rimor S.r.l. manufactures medium pressure industrial fans with special constructions to suck air up to 900°C.

High Pressure Centrifugal Fans

Centrifugal Fans

The industrial fan is called a “high-pressure centrifugal fan” when it can supply medium-high pressures (from 200 to 3500 mm H2O) with relatively low flow rates.

The high-pressure centrifugal fan can be built with a forward or reverse blade impeller and can be adapted to any application.

The high-pressure centrifugal fan is used to suck in all types of air, from clean air to very dusty air.

The high-pressure fans are used for pneumatic transport in cement factories, in the air supply of burners, in foundries, mills, pasta factories, in the chemical, steel, and metallurgical industries.

Rimor S.r.l. manufactures high-pressure centrifugal fans that work in standard conditions with air drawn in at a temperature below 80°C.

Rimor S.r.l. it also builds high-pressure industrial fans with special constructions to suck air up to 900°C.

Stainless Steel Centrifugal Fans

Centrifugal Fans

The stainless steel centrifugal fans series is equipped with Rimor technology for the impellers with reduced delivery times.

The case is made with AISI 304 or 316 sheet metal cut by laser with 0.1 mm precision with:

  • TIG welding;
  • inlet studs located on the intake mouthpiece;
  • welded and folded chair with corner reinforcements;
  • possible mounting with vertical and horizontal motor;
  • up to diameter 400 mm sister series to the RBP and RBPR – REU series;
  • pickled surface finish;
  • machined hub in AISI with AISI connection bolts;
  • the possibility of polished realization for both the impeller and the casing.

High Temperature Centrifugal Fans

Centrifugal Fans

The high-temperature centrifugal fans are used to transport large volumes of air with low pressures. This series of centrifugal fans are suitable for extracting fumes, stale, dusty, and humid air in foundries, cement factories, paper mills, and carpentries. The high-temperature centrifugal fans are also widely used for the aeration of public places and paper drying in applications to radiators and cooling towers.

The high-temperature centrifugal fans are made with particular resistant materials or with cooling systems, and consequently, these fans guarantee operation in extreme environmental conditions.

Types

Rimor S.r.l. offers fans with direct coupling, without belts, and adaptable to temperatures up to 1000°C.

Up to 500°C without belts

Rimor S.r.l. has developed a particular heat sink capable of dissipating up to 500°C if placed on the shaft. The heatsink is made of aluminum and allows the creation of centrifugal fans for high operating temperatures.

Up to 1.000°C

Rimor S.r.l. knows the technology of cooling shafts with water and compressed air, building centrifugal fans suitable for working with process temperatures up to 1000°C with compressed air or water cooling.

Rimor manufacturing

The materials available are AISI 309, AISI 310 S, with particular tempering processes. The ranges available are for fans with impeller sizes up to 1000 mm H2O and installed powers up to 75 kW.

For these fans, Rimor S.r.l. also proposes a multilayer insulated solution that reduces the surface temperature of the fan necessary in terms of worker safety.
