Trim suction and shredding systems: plastics, aluminum, paper

Rimor’s product line for trimming suction and shredding systems is composed of a complete series of components and systems for the suction of plastic trimmings,  aluminum trimmings, and paper trimmings.

The trimmings are edges that can be cut from reels in the winding or unwinding machines of the reels or in printing machines where a lateral strip of the reels or the films being printed or of the laminating films or of the coating films must be removed using knives .

Rimor’s trims suction and shredding system is based on time-tested technologies with reduced noise emission with systems crossed and venturi systems.

The trimmings suction and shredding system can be equipped with granulators or choppers and static separation systems such as cyclones, grid separators, automatic dedusting separators.

The trimming suction and shredding systems are used for printing machines in the PRINTING & CONVERTING sector.

The trimming suction and shredding systems can be applied in off-line applications, where the recovered trimming accumulates in bins and in continuous plants where the trimming is continuously recovered, therefore in-line and off-line trimming recovery plants.

Rimor Venturi suction units are systems where the trim or detail is sucked using the Venturi principle. The Venturi system derives from the Bernoulli theory, where the static pressure is made negative thanks to the acceleration of an accelerated airflow where its dynamic pressure (corresponding to the Bernoulli formula) becomes more significant than the total pressure.

Rimor’s Venturi trimmings suction unit is composed of a pressurization system made by an industrial fan that sucks air from the environment and conveys it through a pipe to the Venturi, which, suitably put in depression, has a branch in depression that creates then the suction of the trim and the conveyance of the same in the main duct.

Here the air is added to the pressurization air of the Venturi and exits from the Venturi itself.

Therefore, the Venturi system’s precise calculation is extremely important to have the minimum overall flow rate at the outlet. Rimor’s system also guarantees the recirculation of the pressurization air through the by pass, which is an accessory that recovers the pressurization air by conveying it to the Venturi itself.

Trimming suction systems

The standard Venturi suction system with monobloc bypass is a compact trimming suction and shredding system consisting of a machine inside which a circuit is created. A circuit with adjustable Venturi and bypass included.

The system is soundproofed and therefore has a reduced acoustic emission and realizes the possibility of sucking trimmings using a venturi circuit similar to the standard venturi circuit of the rimor where the trim or parts are sucked using a pressurization circuit, which transforms the primary speed into speed, creates depression using the Venturi principle or the Bernoulli suction principle with the possibility of creating suction even with medium and high depressions (even 500 mmH20).

The Venturi Recube monobloc system is a paper trim suction system or aluminum trim suction system or plastic trim suction system with the principle of not passing through the fan with the trim but creating depression thanks to the pressurization of the fan which imposing an important pressure on the venturi manages to create the depression to suck the trim through the nozzles.

Rimor’s RECUBE Venturi system can be combined with separation or granulation systems and trimming suction outlets.

Venturi with bypass

Trimming Suction Systems

Rimor’s trims suction and shredding system with bypass is a system where a fan conveys the pressurized air to the Venturi. This system, creating a high speed inside the Venturi, generates a depression in the secondary circuit since the speed, and therefore the dynamic pressure, is higher than the total pressure. The principle of conservation of the system’s total energy generates a significant depression inside the trimming suction circuit.

The air drawn from the circuit is added to the primary pressurization air, and the two flows are added at the outlet.

To reduce the flow to the separator leaving the venturi system, a system is inserted that conveys part of the outgoing air to the intake of the pressurization fan, thus realizing a recovery of the outgoing air, reducing the quantity of air overall, thus allowing to reduce the size of the system leaving the Venturi and therefore the size of the static separators.

The system, therefore, allows to optimize and economize the suction and conveying system of trimmings.

Standard Through ventilation systems or machines fulfil he suction requirements of the trimmings both in the case in which the granulation of the trimmings is necessary, both when the trimming of the trimmings is necessary and when the trimming is suitable to pass through the fan.

The suction system of the standard crossed trims is usually composed of a suction system with nozzles with smooth pipes, with a subsequent passage inside the rimor production fan, equipped with an impeller with a particular profile that allows the crossing of bodies inside.

The standard trims suction system or machine is an effective trims suction system if the system is simple or can be positioned in an area where noise doesn’t have to be kept at minimum levels.

The standard trims suction and shredding system crossed can be combined with all the elements present in the division of the trims suction systems division.

The trimming suction and shredding system or machine can also be complex, with multiple suction points and multiple trimming points.

The pipes used in the standard systems crossed by the rimor are smooth with no grips to prevent the trim from getting stuck in the system.

In plants where the trimming is particularly wearing, for example, with calcium carbonate, they can be made with wear-resistant materials.

The RECUBE Through Systems series is made up of silent machines with outstanding performance in systems.

The RECUBE technology, applied to the trimming suction and shredding systems, makes it possible to obtain easily accessible, easily disassembled machines, with the same applicability as the various RECUBE systems, the Rimor patent that simplifies the application of suction systems.

The RECUBE systems or machines of the Rimor series for trimmings suction and shredding can suck trimmings directly or combine them with granulation or chopping systems or shredding knives.

The special shovel designed by Rimor allows you to vacuum both particular granulates and continuous trims and can be made of wear-resistant materials to extend the machine’s lifespan.

The RECUBE trimming suction and shredding system is equipped with a special auger profile that absorbs the noise of the fan and the passage of trimmings to obtain machines with reduced noise emissions to be also installed alongside the staff.

The RECUBE system can be combined with separation systems and suction systems such as nozzles or similar applications.

Trimming suction Systems

The chopper or granulator systems are applied to the various trimming suction and shredding systems, both crossed and Venturi, both standard systems and single-mouth systems of the Recube series.

The chopping or granulating systems are usually applied when it is necessary to obtain a product deriving from the granulation of the trimmings due to a question of space reduction or in-line recovery.
