Based on its considerable experience gained over more than 25 years in the engineering of industrial plants, Rimor is able to offer industrial valves of various shapesround, square, for interception, control and regulation of various fluids.

A valve with a positioning actuator is used to move a closing shutter in every position in regards to a starting point, in response and proportionally to an external signal. The energy for an actuator of a regulating valve comes from an independent source.

Rimor industrial valves are inserted where there is a need to regulate, divert and intercept the flow in the suction, ventilation, filtration plants of many sectors such as: food, chemical, steel, paper mills, Printing & Converting, cement factories, chemical, air treatment, glass, paper trimmings, plastics, packaging, waste treatment and naval industry.

Industrial valves are made of resistant materials suitable for various temperatures even up to 1000°C.

Depending on the operating temperatures of the industrial valves, the drive shafts can be built with a high temperature heat dissipation system certified with CFD simulation. This allows the construction of the industrial valve shaft with the smallest possible dimensions.

The choice of valve size is very important. Choosing a valve that is too big or too small will have a negative effect on the functioning of the system.

For the choice of materials to build and size industrial valves, Rimor uses its latest technical and 3D software and flow simulation.

Rimor industrial valves have been designed to satisfy various levels of upstream and downstream sealing and from inside to outside and vice versa.

Thanks to the latest generation machinery such as linear motor lasers and automated calender, Rimor has a production flexibility in terms of industrial valves production basically without costruction limits.

Rimor industrial valves can be manufactured in standard models or customized models in terms of dimensions, gauge and flanges.

Round Valves

Industrial valves

Rimor manufactures industrial round valves in standard models from 200 mm diameter to 3500 mm diameter.

Rimor technical department is available to customers for the sizing and selection of industrial valve materials with specific applications.

Industrial round valves, depending on the size, pressure and temperature of use, the movement of the shaft can be manufactured in various ways, for example:

  • secured on one side by supports and lubricated bearings and on the other by precision bushing
  • supports and lubricated bearings at both ends of the shaft

The compartmentalisation (and/or regulation) disc of industrial round valves is appropriately dimensioned according to the pressures and temperatures of use.

The compartmentalisation disc of industrial round valves can be single or double blade.

Square Valves

Industrial valves

Just as it is done for industrial round valves, square valves are also designed taking into account the pressures and temperatures of use.

Rimor industrial square valves do not have a standard dimension. Rimor’s technical department analyzes each request individually.

Rimor industrial square valves are divided into two main categories with the following features:

Simple industrial square valves:

  • usage temperature < 350°C
  • usage pressure < 2000 Pa

Heavy industrial square valves

  • usage temperature < 1000 °C
  • usage pressure <2000 Pa

Depending on the dimensions of the industrial square valves, floe regulation is obtained with a series of winglets whose movement is guaranteed by shafts on bearings and leverages. The winglets can be parallel or counterposed.

Guillotine Valves

Industrial valves

The guillotine valve is used for all those applications where there must be no impediment to the passage of the flow (with the valve open) reducing the load losses, a detail that cannot be achieved with a butterfly valve.

The guillotine valve is not used for flow regulation but for compartmentalization.

All Rimor’s guillotine valves are made with the supporting structure in carpentry that changes according to use, the temperature of use and the fluid.

The Rimor builds unidirectional guillotine valves and guillotine valves with through blade with manual controls with handwheel, lever, double-acting or single-acting pneumatic controls, hydraulic controls and electric controls.

Rimor also builds guillotine valves to intercept dust and granules – usually placed under silos and hoppers – with the sliding of the bulkhead by means of a single series of rolling bearings or double series of rolling bearings or sliding guides in self-lubricating material.

Radial Vane Damper Valves

Industrial valves

Radial vane damper valves are widely used where a flow rate adjustment or a partialization of air flows is required. Radial vane damper regulation valves are available with diameters starting from 250 mm up to 3000 mm.

They can be installed in all those systems where a regulation of the flow rate is required in the suction, ventilation and filtration systems, on the suction inlets of the fans and so on.

The regulation of the flow rate in the radial vane damper valves is obtained by means of lens (blades) operated simultaneously by external levers, whose rotation is ensured by bushings and / or supports on lubricated bearings

Depending on the size, radial vane dampers valve can be equipped with a central ogive.

Check Valves

Industrial valves

Rimor manufactures check valves for installation in ventilation systems. An important feature of Rimor check valves is the complete disappearance of the shutter.

Like all Rimor products, the check valves are sized and calculated with finite element software to obtain the minimum losses in the actuation of the shutter and that resist the counter pressure of the air flow.

The check valves can be used wherever there is a need to prevent the return flow of air by allowing the passage of air in only one direction.

All Rimor check valves are made with the supporting structure in carpentry which, depending on the use, can be built in the most appropriate materials.

Diverter Valves

Industrial valves

Rimor manufactures diverter valves (three-way valve) in square – rectangular – circular sections.

With the use of the diverter valve, a flow can be completely diverted or modulated.

The diverter valve is often a preferred solution to the use of two single independent butterfly valves for ease of flow management, compactness of the system and the use of a single drive for handling.

The Rimor diverter valve is classified and built based on the temperatures, flow rates and pressure of use.

Rimor’s technical department is available to advise and evaluate the possibility of special executions.

Sealing Classes

Sealing is a very important feature of air valves as it allows you to isolate the upstream and downstream environments of the valve itself and not have any leaks to the outside.

Throught CFD simulations, Rimor is able to develop valves in compliance with the main sealing classes.

Type of motor

Industrial valves

For the movement of the valves there are different solutions: manual, electric, pneumatic and with motor reducer. Based on the different customer requests we can choose the most suitable integration solution on the valve.

The handling system can be equipped with the positioner, a tool that allows precise adjustment of the air flow on the system.

Manual

The manual handling system is implemented through the aid of a lever managed by an operator with the possibility, thanks to a screw locking system, to fix the sail in the position desired by the user.

Electrical

The electric movement is by rotary, with or without positioner which involves having two types of valves which can therefore be modulating or on-off respectively.

Pneumatic

This type of movement can be of a rotary or linear type and in both cases it can be with or without a positioner, therefore consequently modulating or on-off respectively.

Limit Switch

The position of the switches can be easily changed thanks to the presence of cams with fine-pitch knurling, which can be adjusted manually and independently without the need for tools.

Compact Design

The boxes have a compact design and small dimensions, minimizing the overall dimensions of the valve + box assembly.

Simplicity of connection

The BE45 is equipped with an inclined 8-terminal terminal block to facilitate wiring and with 2 M20x1.5 inputs (1/2 ”NPT on request).

Three-dimensional indicator

The three-dimensional OPEN / CLOSED indicator standard on the BE45 series allows a clear reading of the current state of the valve.

Mounting brackets

Supplied as standard, the stainless steel mounting bracket fits NAMUR holes 80mm by 30mm and pinion height H30mm. The bracket allows coupling with actuators having pinions protruding H 20 mm thanks to the use of a technopolymer extension.

The electric actuators are suitable for the automation of butterfly valves for the industrial sector. The use of latest generation electronic components, associated with mechanics that are the result of careful research and design, guarantees the product’s high performance and reliability over time.

The range is made with the following features:

  • The actuator housing is in self-extinguishing technopolymer (V0).
  • The kinematics is made up of steel and technopolymer toothed wheels, is supported by hardened steel shafts and mounted on self-lubricating bushings and is inserted in a rigid die-cast aluminum structure (excluding mod. VBR015).
  • The connection part of the actuators to the valves, is composed of a die-cast aluminum plate and cataphoresis painted, containing a double drilling according to ISO 5211-DIN 3337.
  • The electronic circuit automatically adjusts the speed of the motor when the mechanical load varies, so as to always carry out the maneuvers in the same
  • The whole range of actuators is equipped with an electronic system for torque control (torque limiter).
  • The entire range of actuators is equipped with an actuator activated heating resistor
  • The whole range of actuators (except mod. VBR015) is modular, programmable in standard version (4-20mA or 0-10V) or reverse (20-4mA or 10-0V).
  • The electric actuators (except mod. VBR015) can be supplied with a rotary potentiometer (5KΩ 1W).
  • The electric actuators are supplied (excluding 12V power supply and mod. VBR015) with battery for safety operation.

Safety and emergency systems

Industrial valves

System that allows the operation of the sail in case of absence of electricity and/or compressed air.

The pneumatic circuit is made with certified components. Automatic tank filling circuit which guarantees 2 complete movements of the pneumatic drive.

The circuit is placed inside an IP 68 panel and the quick couplings are easily accessible.

The pneumatic circuit is automatic complete with electric drive. The circuit can be made automatic without power supply or operated by means of a NO or NC electrical signal.

The pneumatic circuit guarantees 1 s actuation speed with closing force equal to 100% of the maximum pneumatic force of the piston.

It can be combined with a pneumatic positioning piston

In the event of a power failure through a buffer battery, valve operation is guaranteed.

The electric circuit equipped with redundancy guarantees the correct power supply of the drive.

The circuit is made with certified relays and the cables are protected with an IP 68 degree of protection. The circuit is placed inside an IP 68 panel suitable for outdoor installation.

The system guarantees correct closing for at least 5 times both in reopening and in subsequent closing.
